Jenna has always enjoyed listening to the story of her birth day. She has always been particularly amused with the idea that her hand - her entire hand - was not big enough to wrap around my index finger.
Not that she didn't try to do so.
Even in her first days of life she was a stubborn little girl, and she would grasp my finger with all her might, seemingly trying but never quite succeeding at touching the tips of her fingers to the tip of her thumb, encircling my finger with her hand.
Jenna turned 14 yesterday.
Her hand fits quite nicely in mine.

Wow. I can't believe it's been 14 years. I remember when you first told me you were going to be a father, and it wasn't under the best of circumstances. I am so happy that that little blessing grew into such a great one.

Congratulations to you both.

This is just too cute for words! Now the picture I really want to see though is the one you took of Jenna sleeping in the back of the car at the exact time of her birth (1:05PM was it?). Was she really curled in a fetal position? I cannot believe it has been 14 years! Congrats to both of you for making such a great father/daughter team.

Apparantly the time goes into our children.

Or into long nights of televison viewing.
